2. Never point the gun to anybody/ anything you do not intend to shoot
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you fire
4. Be sure of your target and what is around it
5. Be courteous
2. One-hit Elimination
* Direct line to body
* Penetrating shot
* Friendly Fire
* Knife kill
* Ask to surrender within 5 meters
* No Ricochet
3. No Hit Call
* Shooter cannot call opponent out
* Hit players to acknowledge by shouting HIT, DEAD, or OUT
* After being acknowledged as "Hit", raise your gun/ arm over your head while going to the neutral zone
4. No hostages
* No hiding behind non-combatants
* No mixing with non-combatants
* No engaging in proximity of delicate or valuable property
5. No holding or grappling
* No rough physical contact between players
* No holding on to opponent or opponent's gun
6. Avoid Inflicting Unnecessary Pain
* Avoid point-blank shooting, ask for surrender
* Avoid blind-fire
* Immediately stop shooting players signifying hit
7. Dead men tell no tales
* No coaching from any non-combatants (umpires, eliminated players, spectators, bystanders, etc)
8. No time out
* Player must overcome equipment malfunction or temporary difficulty without calling "time out", otherwise player must eliminate him/ herself from the game.
9. Umpire's decision is final
10. Observe proper decorum at all times
4. Each team may field any number of squads (designated as Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, etc.), with each contingent running the tournament course in succession. Contingents from the same mother team are deemed competitors and barred from helping each other and exchanging information for the duration of the tournament. Doing so is considered a violation of the tournament rules and is grounds for disqualification.
5. No substitution is allowed. If a member of the team contingent is unable to continue playing for whatever reason, the team must continue playing handicapped, and shall in no way affect the conduct of the tournament.
6. Players must overcome any type of weapons malfunction in the field (including low batts). Once a team begins to run the tournament course, they have to run all stages continuously.
7. Participants are required to carry 300-rounds ONLY on their person. NO RELOADING is allowed during the entire mission run. We expect and require every team member to carry a full combat load. There will be no break time in between stages. Re-hydration must be done while running the game stages.
It will not matter what magazine you will be using as long as you carry with you 300 rounds of Bbs. The rules stated clearly that each operator is only allowed 300 rounds of BBs on his person. That specific rule was phrased in such a way as to eliminate confusion on what the exact amount of BBs allowed, as we are fully aware that magazine capacities differ from one AEG variant to the next, i.e. an AK variant can have a 600-round Hi-cap magazine, whereas an M4 variant can have up to 450 rounds, and so on for G36 and MP5 variants. So, whether you carry an AK with a 600-round hi-cap or an M4 with a 450-round hi-cap, it does not matter, since it will only be loaded with 300 Bbs. For those using MP5s, since the maximum hi-cap mag can only carry up to 250 rounds, you are left with 50 rounds to use when necessary.
Also, an operator can carry with him a maximum of two AEGs, however, carrying two AEGs WILL NOT double your ammo allocation--it will still be 300 rounds.
With regards to the use of pistols, only two GBBs/AEPs will be allowed per operator. No limit is imposed as to the number of pistol magazines an operator can carry, PROVIDED that the BBs are pre-loaded on corresponding magazines.
Please do remember that a final check will be done on your team prior to insertion. Any violation found may cause your team's disqualification.
8. The tournament will run on a strict time schedule. Once in the staging area (starting point), team contingents are expected to be fully ready; time outs will not be allowed. Any team not ready to play (for whatever reason) when the marshal gives the signal to start shall automatically be disqualified.
9. Each team shall be given a specific time slot on when to run the mission course, determined by drawing of lots. Once the time slots have been determined, it is no longer subject to modification or alteration; this is strictly non-appealable. Teams must be ready to run the course at the assigned time slot, failure to do so shall result in the disqualification of the team and they will forfeit their chance to participate in the tournament. Teams are required to be at the game site at least thirty (30) minutes before their designated call time. The designated time slot will be sent to the team leaders via e-mail together with the mission packet.
10. By joining RATRATAN '08 and paying the corresponding tournament fee, you are hereby agreeing to the following stipulations:
a. That you have read and understood the Filipino Airsoft Rules and Regulations and that you will abide by it.
b. You are willing to submit to the authority of the tournament marshals and respect and abide by their decision.
c. In case your team is disqualified, you agree that any and all payments and fees paid for the tournament shall be forfeited in favour of the tournament organizers.
d. Regardless of the reason, any and all payments made to the tournament organizers are strictly non-refundable.
e. In case there is a major issue or conflict to be resolved, the chief marshall shall be the sole deciding authority and you shall respect and abide by whatever decision the chief marshal promulgates.
f. You agree that the organizers and marshals shall hold the entire team liable for the individual actions of its members.
g. You agree to sign a waiver form prior to running the tournament course; in the event you refuse or fail to sign the waiver form, the organizers will not allow you to participate in the tournament and you will automatically be disqualified and your payment shall likewise be automatically forfeited in favor of the tournament organizers.
